Chuckadian
Kind of a bad picture, I'll get a better one tonight. New shift knob, boot, and frame. A cookie to whoever can tell me what kind of car it came out of! http://i138.photobucket.com/albums/q267/Chuckadian/photo.jpg

Chuckadian
Yeah Audi TT. Fits pretty well, I like the way it looks. I just gotta change the top piece out so someone doesn't try to find reverse on the left side.

98quiksilvergt
Tested today! We are in a "heat wave" hear in New York. High 90's for the past few days. It's much better than the aluminum nob I had in there. I hated touching that thing! This one is much better. I'm happy!

ehsnils
A leather knob would be my choice. Feels good to have in the hand.

98quiksilvergt
I happened to walk by my nephews mk2 jetta today, he's got the same knob. He said it came out of a mk4 jetta. The mk4 and TT must have the same knob.
Chuckadian
what shift knob and boot? i see 4 screw holes for something rice on the side-panel The previous owner had a CB radio there. I can't see it from the driver's seat so I don't really care!
kaz98gt
this happened in the other thread; no cookie hey quiksilvergt, where are you in upstate ny? I have a place in fulton county, an hour or two north of albany, and I'm bringing up the subaru in a week or so for vacation! and I will not jack this thread; the best shift knob in my opinion is something clean and leather. ehsnils is right, it feels good in the hand; I'd rather not be shifting something metal that changes temp and has no play. the perforated leather must be nice!
