I will be getting mine by the new year, I'm just not installing it till spring. No point in getting body work done over the winter so it can get killed by snow and salt.

I sent you a pm.

Super JDM part out: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=65039

PM me an offer!

Not randomly bumping old threads but...

Anyplace to get this state-side at a "reasonable" price? I don't like my USDM OEM bumper after looking at countless K2 bumpers - seriously. But crap - $1200 - $1400 for all? Crazy.

Yup, i looked up the price last month... but decided it was too much

$800- bumper

$600- S+H

$400- all the accesories to replace stock

$300- bumper beam, or you could hack up ur own

$400- JDM grille

Total: $2500, and that does not include installation and painting :D

and if you are getting the K2 CF lip that goes under the bumper? Another $600

Hot damn! Those are retarded prices! Can't justify it :(. Want it real bad. Wish it could be just a bit more reasonable.

IMO the price is reasonable, just shipping charges kills

because what you're doing is actually convertnig USDM to JDM that's why u'd need all those things, it's pricey to baller

I guess you're right - pay to play. Sigh...

The real question is: when is HKC-Speed gonna release a Stanza K2 replica bumper and CF lip here for 1/3 the price???

If I could get this bumper replicated and sell it for cheaper....who would be interested? If I can get a solid list then I could probably make it happen. The copy will not be cheap either. The original would be test fit first and, any imperfections would be fixed before a mold was made.

i understand S&D

but not any cheaper? cmon...im on the list if you can produce it, (depending on price), unless you can produce it in poly-urethane, than a a high price is understandable...

lookslikeanevo,

Of course the parts would be cheaper priced, but it is likely that the bumper will be made in limited quantities. When I said the part will NOT be cheaper, I meant quality wise, not price. I'll see what the owner says, and maybe I can get this made.

The part would most likely be produced in a Hybrid FRP material, which is similar to poly-urethane. The Hybrid FRP has a LOT of flex in it, so you don't have to worry about cracking the bumper on a speed bump, or curb.

I'm in - and if you do make it, I'll also love you long time. ;) In the case that you do make it - would you be able to create one where it will fit the domestic market legacy's or will it be exactly like the JDM one where we'll have replace the beam etc. etc.

thx!

Most likely it would be exactly the same as the Japanese one, just fix any fitment problems that it may have. You'll still need the JDM crash beam.

I'd have to check on the carbon lip. I know the company makes other carbon parts, so it is possible.

-Dan

Edit:

Just for clarification....the K2 bumpers do NOT come painted from K2gear. K2 has a paint service they offer for around $360 for the front bumper alone.
