Legacy Wagon
Oh, you're in FL? Which part? I think all windshields are covered by insurance. You should be able to claim it if you have full coverage on it. Raised my insurance a few dollars a month though. Here's the FL law: "If your windshield is cracked must your insurance company replace it or does it require collision insurance according to Florida law? Florida Statute 627.7288 states that the deductible shall not apply to windshield damages. However, you must have either comprehensive or collision coverage. A policy that provides liability coverage only will not cover your windshield. You can get an auto insurance comprehensive coverage quote here and even buy your policy online." Legacy Wagon
Yeah, mine's safe light too. Came with the insurance though. I wonder if you could loophole it. Maybe you could get full coverage for one month, get your windshield replaced and then drop it back down to regular the next month. If so those insurance guys have it comin...they are eager to screw you any way they can. If we can return the favor I'd be more than happy to
LongHiway
Might get lucky at a junk yard. Since it's a Subaru in Florida, you might need to travel around a bit.
Legacy Wagon
Yeah, there's not too many running around here, but I found a few in Lakeland that I could get parts from. It's an annoying task though
LongHiway
Yup, I think a new windshield retails for like $500 - maybe less if you don't care about having the wiper heater strip.
