I just don't trust GM products....
As an American truely sad but honest. My last car before this was a 1996 Camaro z-28 six speed in most ways an neat car. But as far as "trust" no I dont "trust "GM . As an Amarican this is a sad thing to say.I went over to the Dark Side likely never to return. (U.S. USA auto producers show me Im wrong) Franklin

The GTO is based on the Holden line from Australia.

I would prefer a Holden over the GTO anyday, the brand and heritage is awesome.

The Holden is king down under and is the used by the majority of racers in their crazy ass V8 Supercar championship. At least they do something interesting instead of going around in circles like those retarted, I can only do left turns, nascar drivers. That one road course in Mexico was nice.

Check out Holden Special Vehicles.

I took an 04' on one of those 24 hours test drives before I got the suby. I really wasn't in love with the looks of the car but they were selling them cheap to make room for the 05's. The interior was very nice but I wasn't that impressed with how it ran. Thought the car was a bit of a pig for all that power and a 6speed. . At the time I had my modded GTP which was definitely faster. I do like the changes they made for 05' looks better with the scoops and exhaust....of course the motor too!

Looks like it has a fat ass. Like it needs to get off the cookie diet or something.

Will be curious to see how it stacks up against the Dodge Charger in terms of sales. I know the Charger has 3 trim lines.

Wow, is that a new Charger? That's way better looking than the GTO, and its a 4-door!

Thanks. I scanned that article over pretty good, but I don't think it mentioned a price for the SRT8. It would be nice if it were in the high 20's, low 30's, but doubtful.

Wonder what the base charger is priced at?

Yeah I could not find price either. Will be interesting to see though.

I would expect the base version charger to start around mid 20's. They will aparently have 3 trims from what i have read. I would expect the SRT-8 though to be at least comparable to the 300c Hemi, which is just shy of 40k. Fully loaded, i wouldn't doubt it easy to pass 40k for this guy....unfortunetly.

damn street version looks better than the Cup car!!!! wonder if the street car will have the same nose issue as the Cup car...doubtful since it wont travel as fast.

I'm very impressed with the specs of this car... it also looks powerful and fresh. Reminds me of the skyline's bold front due to the masculine nose. I love the 4doors!! But I really wish it was a turbo and AWD. :(

ugh.. it says it only has automatic trans.

I would wager that pretty power slide cost like $2.65 in gas, I have a feeling that the HEMI powered cars are not going to do well based on fuel consumption. I know a few people who have them and they never get close to the EPA rating. If you guys think the Legacy is bad, an aquaitance has a 300C and he says he is lucky to get 21 on the highway. I guess the cylinder deactivation is not all it's cracked up to be.

I do not believe the Charger SRT8 utilizes cylinder deactivation. Its balls to the wall 24/7. :D

Neither is the Twin-turbo V12 SL65 AMG that chugs 12 gallons per mile, and that's only the EPA estimate. I would take a guess that if you drove it like you stole it, maybe 8-9 mpg.

You gotta pay to play.
