ineedmorepsi's 96' Legacy GT

Recommended Posts

Here is my wonderful car. I believe I haven't introduced myself. I've owned this Lego since November. Previous owner was a very knowledgeable suby enthusiast that's on several forums. Everything in bold he did 3 months prior to me buying it built from the ground up with his hands. He also did the wiring merge still obd 2. This was all too easy for him being a BMW tech and because this was his 3rd suby swap and best to say the least. Since my possession I've done $1500 of maintenance. axles, all suspension bits, all new fluids thru-out etc.

WRX swap only 11k on motor

WRX stock catback

06' Sti cams

Gates Timing belt

ACL bearings thru out

SPT intake

HKS 3" Catless DP

Transcooler

TurboTek Tuned

Custom FMIC

20% Tint

Gold RS wheels(i have 2 extra RS sets silver and black)

Upcoming Mods sitting next to me are:

12kg 10kg full coilovers with 04 STi top mounts

JDM headlights

JDM equal-length header (no mo rumble)

Crucial Racing Copper gaskets

Evo III Big 16g

Sti Pinks

Cusco undercar H brace.

Outback bumper

Pieces for my full 3" catback

WRX front rotors/caliper

then retune.

Potential future mods:

Wald style or TP style fender flares

17x9 Rotas

custom splitter for OB bumper

big sway bars.

L hood, WRX hood, RS vents

WRX seats

WRX center console

Respray of Dark Green Pearl

Lastly 5spd swap when Autotrajic dies.

Stay Tune for updates. All work will be done by me, I also TIG and Plastic weld as one of my hobbies so I will be making some little things for this BD.

LOVE the drop, FMIC looks better than i imagined behind the L bumper..

A++

Stock struts, H&R sport springs, the car is a 96' so thats a stock GT bumper(kouki setup?) before they made the switch to 97 with hood scoop and more aggressive front which I'm sure you know.

You can see the FMIC is huge, it's currently off due to the td04 lag. On the L bumper only half of it is expose to direct air flow. The OB bumper as is has even less. But you can see it fits almost perfect in the grill area of the OB bumper so I can modify the OB bumper nicely or at least try. LOL

diggin the rs wheels and the stance.... should try some 3mm spacers to poke the wheels out a bit further... unless its really close already, hard to tell with the wheels turned

It's nowhere close, I Auto-X this car hardcore and it doesn't rub anywhere whether it's these RS goldies with 205/50/16s or using my RS blackies with Azenis RT615 215/45R16.

I would love to get 17x9s for street and step the Azenis to use 225/50/16 size rubber for Auto-X. Need FLARES.

i rolled my fenders (ended up doing a bit of body work since the paint cracked) and have 18x8.5 +38 fit without problems.. i do have them wearing stretched 225/40's. I have noticed with the rear weighted down and hard hard cornering i can get a small rubbing noise but nothing really from normal/semi hard driving.. my goal is to get some 18x8 +35 and that will solve all problems..

With 24mm sway bar and 10kg spring rate coilovers in the back. There will be no sag or rubbing.

I like the way your 18s look, but I need more rubber(profile) due to my harda$$ setup and auto-x. So 17x9 would be perfect, but 17x8-8.5 would suffice if the offset was lower.

Twisted can you send me pics of your car via PM.

It's been a while.. I've done a lot. I sold off the 16g I was going to put on and now am getting a fully rebuilt/upgraded td04 from Blouch Turbo. tdo4hl turbine wheel clipped/volvo 19T compressor wheel, PnP compressor/turbine housings. Should net 300awhp/300awtq with my other mods and spool just as fast as a stock wrx td04. Basically a VF39 killer. $500+6%tax since I'm in the state and only 1hr away.

I'm also picking up 2 sets of wheels today. OZ F1 Cups 17x7.5 ET 35+ and Flik 17x8 ET 35+. I couldn't pass the deals up. So I'm driving to MD and DE today.

 Wife doesn't know I got them. :hide::lol:

I will update with some pics of wheels and updates of car later on. Maybe show you guys my custom lip on OB bumper I'm working on.
