subikid90
Does anyone else have fading bumpers? What have you done to try and fix it? My rear bumper is yellowish and it looks horrible:mad:, its been that way since I bought it. I haven't really tried to do anything to fix it besides waxing it. I don't want to buy a bunch of stuff that doesn't work. So what works and what doesn't? -Subikid90 1997 Legacy GT 5spd & EJ251 w/EJ25D heads ~10.5CR 1998 Legacy GT Limited waiting for EJ22T hybrid swap

cman7
Maybe try some polish/ rubbing compound (buffing). This can restore the original luster of the paint. It takes a lot of time, and frankly I hate doing it. But the results pay off. I need to polish my legacy really bad. The swirl marks are quite prevalent these days. Bassnectar
my entire car is slightly fading my black is becoming some crazy midnight purple but only on certain days :S
Bdubs
The problem is, the paint just doesn't age the same on the plastics as it does on the metal. This is more obvious on white cars and bright red cars. Polish and a clay bar may bring some shine back, but I'd be willing to bet it'll still look mismatched.
