Turkeylord
Where can I find all that. Seems as if i'll have to go through a dealer. I can't find any in classified's anywhere! I sold my q-towers and crossbars to a buddy last week for $50 *d'oh* They're pretty common though, I'll bet you'll find some in the classifieds sooner or later. The q-towers are a universal fit, then you buy a set of clips/pads that are shaped to work with your vehicle. I had my rack on my old Altima before moving it to my old Legacy - just had to buy new clips/pads. Otherwise, there are online retailers, like http://www.rackattack.com/

blaze741
^ Cool, thanks! How much should i be looking to spend for a new and used set up similar to brooklyngenius ? You should expect 250 without shipping for a base rack kit, 25 for locking cores if needed, and close to 70 for a used bike tray setup. I'd estimate around 350. I'm using a Thule base rack setup. 38" fairing, though I prefer the 44 if I can get a trade sometime, and a Yakima Anklebiter deuce bike tray. Yes you can mix and match, with proper adaptors. Those are pretty cheap. I'd say best bet is buy a full kit on craigslist, and just swap the fit kits(60$). I've seen proper full kits go on craigslist for 150 dollars. Specs you need: Thule: 50 Inch load bars (Model LB50) 38 or 44 inch fairing, both work fine. 400xt feet. theres, also a newer more expensive aero feet, which work with the aluminum aero bars. Fit kit: 2155 for 400xt, not sure for the aero Yakima: 48 inch load bars 38 or 44 inch fairing, both work fine. yakima q towers fit kit: Q78 i believe. i gotta check. i did plenty of research before I found mine. I originally wanted a Yakima kit, but found a Thule one first, and I love it. Edited June 15, 2011 by blaze741

blaze741
I just took my rack off my car today. =[ With little or no time to ride, and no need for it, saving gas is higher priority. And I'm putting another 1000 miles on the car this weekend, so I guess getting the extra 2 mpg and the ride being a lil quieter helps. The rack has been on the car since April, and this time left some marks on the roof. Time to wax the contact points when I get home. =P
