Aczwild Posted April 6, 2005 Share Posted April 6, 2005 Lately the antenna on my '97 GT has been making really nasty "thunk, thunk, thunk" noises whenever it fully extends or when it retracts. eamiller Posted April 6, 2005 Share Posted April 6, 2005 Sounds like you may need to use some lubricant to smooth the mast extension and retraction. You may have already damaged the gearing or the motor, which would require replacement. If not, the lubricant will make everything good again.. Yeah I tried to lubricate the sucker and i figure now the grearing is prolly smashed to sh*t, since sometimes it will get stuck and not come down at all.
