garylau
I finally got a few pics. So far I've made some progress on this car. I've replaced the battery and battery cables, replaced the broken center tail light section, installed Alpine CDA-9883 CD player with two pairs of Polk db651 speakers, replaced the alternator and belt, and just got some Falken Sincera tires installed. Oh, and I included a sixer of one of the best domestic beers ever in the background of one of the shots. Still to come are new rotors and pads, and eventually some decent shocks and a few minor performance upgrades. Hopefully I'll also fix a few dings and respray it some time this summer. Over 318k and running great!

garylau
Most of the credit goes to the previous owners, they took pretty good care of it.

ryanlucas13
I had that same Alpine CD player, I sold it on Ebay a while back! Great to see the car is still on the road.
garylau
Thanks, guys. I was lucky to find a car that recently came up from New Mexico. Older cars that are still this clean and free of rust are a rarity around here, which is why I plan to take good care of it. And because it's a fun car to drive, even without AWD. My ex bought the car about 5 months ago as something to drive until she got her tax return. It was a replacement for her Grand Am with a blown motor (big shock there). I called dibs on buying it from her when she no longer needed it, and since I've done a lot of mechanical work for her, she was nice and sold it to me for only $250. All my power windows stopped working though, so I need to pull the drivers seat and some trim so I can lift the carpet and test the relay. Sucks to not be able to roll my window the rest of the way up. Overall, I really like the car and could definitely see myself buying another Subaru in the future. AWD next time though!
