Viss1
These are looking pretty good for the price. Only concern is the polished center - my OB is silver/gray, and it might look a little funky. Anyone have any pics or general thoughts on this wheel? http://www.tirerack.com/images/wheels/enkei_racing/swap/enkei_rs-m_bs_ci3_s.jpg
coldradio1
IMO the thin spokes and wide spacing of said spokes may look strange on the outback. With the body cladding, fender flares, etc., I think thicker/beefier spokes or maybe a mesh style would complement the more rugged body of the OB. DrCloud
^ Agree. We had OZ Ultraleggeras on our Outback for a while, and they (with thin spokes sort of in pairs) didn't look quite right for that car. They look fine on my LGT.B, but Outbacks want something beefier. See the third post in this thread (offsite) for a comparison. HPH
Viss1
Thanks. I agree thin spoke wheels can look a little funky on an OB, but wheels with evenly-spaced individual spokes tend to look a little better than those with parallel spokes. I'd love it if there was a 5-spoke wheel out there 18lbs or less for under $225 or so. I guess the Enkei EV5 is an option, but the dual-pattern bolt holes seem a little budget. Gire
If the spokes are too thin and too few, the LGT/ OB looks like a fat girl on ice skates. Big meaty wheels look more well-rounded. In my very humble opinion of course. Styling tastes vary widely.
coldradio1
If you like fat 5's I would look into getting a used set of SSR GT2. 18x8s normally only weigh about 16-17lbs. Plus, you can find used sets of them for around $1000.
