Enlight
I'll let the pictures do the talking... http://www.geneseo.edu/~gbc1/pics/In-and-Out.jpg http://www.geneseo.edu/~gbc1/pics/In-and-Out-2.jpg http://www.geneseo.edu/~gbc1/pics/Coming-out-of-ditch.jpg http://www.geneseo.edu/~gbc1/pics/Tracks-into-ditch.jpg http://www.geneseo.edu/~gbc1/pics/Mud-Shot-2.jpg http://www.geneseo.edu/~gbc1/pics/Mud-Shot-1.jpg You've figured by now that my legacy went through that ditch. The very thoughts going thourgh my mind at the time were "oh sh*t, f*ck, sh*t, insurance...". I was doing this slight turn at about 40 when I realized the car wasn't turning. I managed to will myself to not hit the brakes and just keep applying light pressure to the gas, letting the AWD try to work it through. The next second the driver side of the car was in the ditch doing 25. I just cranked the wheel over to the right and the legacy managed to pop itself back out. I stopped to evaluate the damage, and behold... none. Some people are just gonna say "Subaru engineering at it's best blah blah blah." No. I got really lucky that the earth in the ditch was really muddy and my car didn't bottom out. But anyway! I figured people would get a kick out of this so enjoy http://legacygt.com/forums/images/icons/icon7.gif! P.S. The right side of the road at the time wasn't plowed, it was plowed by the time I got back to take the pictures. P.P.S. I bought a filter mag for the legacy. muFreight.co A JDM Container Sharing Service from Japan to NYC Website | Instagram | Email Bessie II's Thread
Brady
Lucky indeed! Thank goodness there were no big rocks or other unforgiving items there!
Gordon05GT
You're lucky there was no major damage. I bet you thought it was fun when it was all over. I did something similar to that with no damage. Scared all the way through it but afterwards I was like, "Man what a rush, I wanna do it again." But I didn't.

SUBE555
My first question is where is there still snow? It was mid-60's here in NE Wisconsin today. That or it was some rehashing here. I will say the post 7pm sunsets are nice once again. Anywho, nice to see you got out without damage and help. How's the steering and alignment, no changes hopefully? I know those things can be effected even in slow-speed encounters.

Enlight
Yeah, I know. It would total to be about 80 mph if there was another car. muFreight.co A JDM Container Sharing Service from Japan to NYC Website | Instagram | Email Bessie II's Thread
feersum dreadnaught
you are lucky. I did something similar is my mom's new saab 900 turbo (yes, back in 1984). Except I managed to smack the only 5" diameter wood post in that stretch of ditch and did $3000 worth of damage.
