This car has 215,000 miles on it ? How do you keep this clean ?

roughly 218,600 now. i'm the 3rd or 4th owner of this car. those pictures were taken by the previous owner before he gave it to me, after it was detailed. the car was in colorado for 10 years, which i think attributes to the very little rust cause the air out there is dryer and less salty.

Ok... how about a '96 L wagon, twice wrecked, 201kmi was my son's first car... ... outback front and rear bumpers, lowered 2" with coil overs, WRX exhaust, rally blue paint...

I have a daughter turning 16 in a few weeks, and this will be passed to her to learn to drive......

I've got a 91 white wagon with 92k on it. Pics coming this evening! The only thing wrong with it is that the antenna was attacked by some thug in my parking lot. It's now a nub of an antenna. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement for it? Does the mast just screw out? I found a replacement mast online for 6$, but I'm not sure if it's actually a replacement: http://tinyurl.com/91LegacyWagonAntennaMast

My wagon so far...

how did you get those wheels to fit? i have a set of those from my old car but didn't think they'd fit. i put stock wrx 16s on and they rub the rear struts. and the BBSs are even wider and taller.

Short story:

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4LJ4vzZg2l0]YouTube- There's something wrong here...[/ame]

Long story: I had a bit too much fun with it in a parking lot, and when I was finished, I could hear some barely audible piston slap. I changed the timing belt hoping it was just a timing problem, but the slap was still there when I drove it again. At that point I decided it was an internal problem, and that the engine was going to die soon, anyway. So I figured I ought to kill it having fun rather than on the way to school or work. Broken ringland.

I took it out to the spot in the video and thrashed it in the mud puddles until it wouldn't stay running without a bit of gas. Drove the beast about 20 miles across town up and down hills to get home. Ridiculous how resilient these engines are.

Waiting on an engine hoist and some time, at this point, to drop an EJ20G from a JDM GC8 in there.

Needless to say, I had quite a bit of cleaning to do.

Really proud of my car. Plan to really take care of her with the new engine.

Wow...that sucks.

My crankshaft bearings are going and I'd like to have

it go out in style, but it'd have to be in these back woods

about 20 miles away from my house and with my luck it'd

happen 20 miles into the woods too haha

By the way, it's a bit muddy inside :/

I'm gonna do the same. Mine's just an auto though.

The RS is a stick and it makes the Legacy seem pretty

tame so it's gotta be driven hard through the trails lol
