grim
Bought one used, came in an Invidia LGT DP box. Thought that was wierd. Installed it, leaked at the Turbo/DP flange, also very weird, an uncommon spot for a leak, a BAD leak. Pulled it apart, checked gasket fitment, figured out the problem. The 3" hole in the flange was drilled too far towards the side of the flange for the gasket to sit properly, the fire ring on the factory gasket was sitting *IN* the hole. The fact that it made contact around the rest of the flange meant that there would forever be a gap here. Made sense why the DP flange on the used pipe was covered in Pemtex. Had to do the same to get it to seat properly. I'll be pulling mine off in the spring to weld some meat back onto the flange and then reface to ensure the fire ring has a proper seat. Go Perrin! A 2 second quality control check would have realized all of this. Place a gasket on the flange, nothing more.
