OutbackXT05
Thanks for the write up I think i'm finally going to get around to doing this. Im tired of my stock wheels and dont want to put down the cash for new rims/tires. So im probably going to be going bronze on the stockers on my outback
tbperry
I know this thread is old but I figure I'll ask the above question again, how is everyone's wheels holding up still? Now that a few seasons have passed how are they doing? I am looking into mine and do not want to have to be redoing them every few months due to chips peeling etc... sleeper8406
Mine chipped pretty bad during the winter. I plan on getting them powder coated eventually. For now i just did a bit of touch up work.

Brunex
Just did mine tonight. Used duplicolor Gold and primer. Here are some shots of the rim in the 3 steps, masking, primer and gold. The gold isnt that bright under the fluorescent light of the garage. Tomorrow we'll see how it came out. Will post pics with the car.

Brunex
Update! Well here are the paints I used just in case anyone wants to buy them. The gold paint was hard to find, only one auto part store had it and I think I took the las 3 cans. Now on my LGT :)

jjtjp
I'm thinking about this as a next project. I, however, have some curb rash that I would like to get rid of. Anyone have suggestions for filler? JB weld, maybe?
yellowlemon
I had some fromthe previous owner thought about filling it but just sanded it a little smoother and painted it and it's a lot harder to see now looks pretty good unless you get real close to it
