And the AVO widebody STI is entered this year, going toe to toe with the hottest tuner cars throughout Japan. Not just Subaru's and Evo's, this is against everything - Skyline GT-R's from the R32 to present, S2000's, Silvia's. The Works. We've got a couple of tricks up our sleeve for this contest. One is over 500 ft/lbs of torque. Way over, to be exact. The other is Yoshihiro Yoshida, Prova's ace driver. December 8th is practice day, we've got an hour to get the car worked in and to check out the competition. New tires, new driver, new suspension setup, and lots of new power. It will be interesting! apexjapan Posted December 8, 2009 Author Share Posted December 8, 2009 Update - Yoshida-san ran the car out yesterday in practice, and hit a 1.00.008 time (1m .008second) on the less grippy Hankook tyres. He also hit 198km an hour on the back straight, (123mph). He's very excited about the car and feels that he may hit a 58 second time once it's on the grippier Yokohama 050 S compounds.
