mwiener2 Posted December 6, 2009 Share Posted December 6, 2009 I have a pic on my wall that I blew up to print over 4 pages, but I used a rasterizer to do it and I can't read the text. the pic is an old Subaru ad that reads, "Apples to apples, or totally nuts?" It is comparing a Legacy 2.5GT to a Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Anyone have a copy of this? IwannaSportSedan Posted December 8, 2009 Share Posted December 8, 2009 I am pretty sure that was a 2005 Legacy print ad. one of the few ads the 2005-2009 Legacy ever had. And they were comparing a turbo Legacy with a base, small-H6 Boxster, not the S model. The ONLY car that could replace my SVX would be a Porsche Carrera 4, or 4S. It is almost like they took the car and put the body on the chassis backwards, and there ya go... I would LOVE a tuned Cayman S or a Boxster Spyder for a weekend hot car. But if I wanted to drive a Porsche every day, in any weather... an AWD car wins, and that means rear-engined Carrera coupe. We'll see what Subaru does with the FT-86 coupe platform.
