Recommendations for a good but cheap tire

Probably see snow 3 times a year when I head up to the mountains

Ugh, we got 11 inches of rain in the past two weeks, I think we normally average under an inch for the month.

Still, my RE92s seemed to handle the rain alright.

 

I see these for a similar price (although shipping my put them over)

Would these be significantly better than the Falken Ziexs?

No, no... you want the Ecsta MX. Summer tire, with good rain capabilities.

 

 

This tire is awesome. And much cheaper than say a comparable Michelin or Bridgestone.

 

 

Tire Rack. 105.00 per tire in OEM 215-40-17 size. How can you go wrong?

Just bought a set of Kuhmos 2 months ago from Andrew at Americas Tire in Torrance (I think his name is rouroni x or something like that on here). Paid $520 for 18's with a $100 rebate. I heard the Kumhos are better for snow than the Falkens but if you can get them for under 400 mounted I would go for it.

for daily driving and great great tread wear, cooper cs4's cant be beat. Any cooper tire for that matter, their zeon line of tires are excellent and made in USA.
