Underdog
Anyone know the torque spec for the water pipe that sits on top of the block and connects the two case halves? These are o-ring locations so I'm sure there is a torque spec, but I can't find it in the vaca pix at all. Any help would be appreciated. Its the silver cast pipe in this pic: http://img688.imageshack.us/img688/3585/img7669c.jpg The Crimson Dynamo
Underdog
Bump. I'm thinking I just tighten it for metal-to-metal contact. My guess is the o-ring compression should load the bolts sufficiently. Still, it would be nice to know if someone has a spec. mwiener2
don't go more than 15ftlbs... you'll strip the aluminum out 12ftlbs is probably enough My Mods List (Updated 8/22/17) 2005 Outback FMT Running on Electrons
Underdog
I need to get a lower range torque wrench, mine only goes down to 20ft-lbs. All the oil and water pump bolts were 8.9 or 4.7ft-lbs. I pretty much just guessed and tried to be consistent. The Crimson Dynamo
mwiener2
with stuff under 20.. just make it as tight as you can without breaking or striping bolts My Mods List (Updated 8/22/17) 2005 Outback FMT Running on Electrons
