kmn5
Hi all I know the 05-06 do not have the fold down rear seats. But if I took a wrench to it, and unbolted the rear seats, would I be able to access the trunk? or is there some firewall in place? I really need a car with a fold down pass through, I'm ok with using tools to access the rear, as it's better then not having the option completely thanks
drcaveman
If memory serves me there is a steel plate back there.

rao
There are several vertical steel beams - which you can also unbolt Rob IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CAR YOU SHOULD NEVER DRIVE IT
Scruit
There are two vertical beams (1" square tube) that bolt in and support the seat/trunk lining. See the pics in this thread: http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=77627 The trunk lining across the back of the seat (leading edge of the trunk) is carpet bonded to corrugated plastic. It's held to the two vertical beams by plastic push rivets.
pillboy
If I unbolted the 06 back seat can I access the trunk? It's easier to just go through the big hole under that big lid at the back of the car. It is still ugly.
scoobydoobie
As I posted in this thread: http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=84226&page=3 You can actually swap in 07 seats and get the fold down action. I've been considering this swap myself. http://legacygt.com/forums/showthrea...ght=rear+seats http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=54778
