brandonGT
ok so I'm installing an unequal length header tommorrow on an already stage 2 vf40. My question is, do I need an updated tune or will my current protune map be sufficient? if not, what specific changes in the tune will be needed to accomodate the new part? johnnymack
You will need a new tune/adjustment.
johnAWD
You will not need a tune. Your current tune will be fine, but a new tune will help you extract more out of the car.
Infamous1
With UEL you should be alright. One way to know for sure

It is being installed right now, I will datalog tonight. But, to take full advantage of this mod, what changes to the tune should be made? More degrees of AVCS in the mid range and up top? Infamous1
I wouldn't bother, avcs will change VE. If done, at the same time there will need to be timing and wgdc changes as well.

So intalling headers won't create an overboost/fuel cut condition on the same tune?

brandonGT
Well it's installed and I did some datalogs. Keep in mind I am using the same map as before. First thing I noticed is the car is down about 1.0 psi all across the rpm band, is this normal?
