scoobydoobie
Its actually WAY easier than that. Unplug MAF sensor, undo top two clips, take out filter, put new one in. VOILA
JoeFromPA
I had to disconnect the snorkel, take off some nuts, and loosen the whole filter housing to get enough wiggle room for my air filter.

scoobydoobie
Well here's my video: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bH0GYcuTRy8]YouTube - How to change engine airfilter on 05+ LGT/OBXT (simplified version)[/ame] and yes, I did almost put the filter back in backwards . Note: This is not to take anything away from the OPs (rather thorough) video. Just to show it CAN be done rather quickly, with way less steps and no tools. JoeFromPA
Now you go and make me doubt I had to do the extra work....well, it's time to clean out the AVO Dry Panel filter anyway.... Joe
scoobydoobie
yeah dont be afraid to get a little rough with the airbox to get the filter out. And I did do that extra work... once, to pull the intake resonator out.
s73v3
I probably could have yanked it out through the crack but it seemed like a very tight squeeze. I like taking things apart, so for me the long way was my preference. It also gave me a chance to look around in the nether regions.
scoobydoobie
I just don't want people to think you have to take the whole intake system out and apart to change the filter. Thats a lot of un-necessary work for such a simple task.
f1anatic
Insane mod. Now how about a video on how to change a fuse ?
s73v3
Insane mod. Now how about a video on how to change a fuse ? What do you mean? Are you implying it's too simple a task to bother with a video? I do know people that would have difficulty doing this job and would benefit by seeing it done. Also when you say "insane mod" do you mean its a mistake to use the Perrin foam filter, or do you mean insanely good to change to the foam filter? I did add an annotation to the video saying the filter could be squeezed out the crack without taking out the airbox.
