hairyg
Howdy ho from this newby to Subies! Just bought a near mint condition '90 Legacy LS, but the driver's sun visor will not stay up. Is this fixable or am I looking at getting another? Thank you! relford@netzero.net
Platinum_Racing
Get some of those little Velcro tabs or tape and stick one to the visor, and the other to the roof. Get the black ones since they'll probably match the interior color better. Either way, when the visor is up you won't be able to see the Velcro anyway. I just hope they'll stick to the surface on the roof and the visor, but for $3 what do you have to lose? Besides, there's always a good use for Velcro... You could also just go to a junkyard and get a new visor, hinge, and stay then just replace the ones that are worn out. Might not be the same colors though. leggtnut
I had the same problem when I got my 90 legacy found a replacement visor at a junk yard and never had a problem with it after that. hairyg
Thanks to you both for the feedback! The velcro glue would not hold in the Nebraska summer heat, so, I'll be checking out the j-yards. Thanks, again. G
hairyg
Forgot to ask previously - if you don't mind - how much did you pay for your used visor / an estimate range of what I can expect to give? Thanks again! G
leggtnut
I had my 90 Legacy from 1998 to 2004. I paid $75 from a junk yard that no longer exists in Woodinville, WA.
