bsax14
i am at the fork in the road where i need to decide whether to rebuild my engine (EJ257) w forged pistons, rings, bearings, etc. or to buy a new short block. I was quoted about $3700 for the rebuild considering my case, rods and crank are in good condition. This is with all necessary labor. I could just buy a whole new block for around 2 grand as well, so im just weighing my options and would like an opinion from someone else.... rao
Until someone finds an actual problem with your actual block I vote for keeping it Rob IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CAR YOU SHOULD NEVER DRIVE IT
AWDxBOOST
build it up, its really not all that hard or expensive if you can do it yourself but if not, it'd still be worth it to get someone else to do it imo
