TrueWhiteBoy
Hi, I offered to cook my Dad whatever he wanted for Father's Day and he decided that he wanted Lobster Newburg. I...have absolutely no experience cooking lobster. Most of the recipes I've dug up seem pretty forward as to what to do once I have the meat, but I was wondering if you guys had any tips on how to cook a lobster for someone who has never done it before or just some tips on a good recipe Yeah this is going to be interesting, I've never even eaten the dish before

TrueWhiteBoy
I just wanted to make sure there weren't any steps that are assumed since I'm not that familiar with it (similar to purging the crawfish like you did in your crawfish/crab boil)
Crawdaddy79
http://www.allenbrothers.com/lobster-newburg-2.html EDIT: Okay that didn't help as much as I thought it would but it should give you some ideas. XLeezardx
NO purging required. Just leave the lobster in your the sink and it will die. Or stab it right through the head from above the eyes if u want quick death. Rip the claws and tail off the lobster. Discard the body unless u like to eat the guts (I do). Remove meat from claws with a hammer or strong sissors. Remove the meat from tail by cutting along the shell with sissor. Cut into small peices. TrueWhiteBoy
Nice, I ended up having a great dinner I even fried up some mushrooms in butter, soy, minced garlic and a splash of hot sauce which came out really well. Apparently Costco sells just the tails so I just ended up buying three of those
