I appericate Your examples but the First and last car's (one's with the best times) have mods done to them. I appericate the performance of the Maxima's and I like them very much. Driver72 Posted March 10, 2005 Share Posted March 10, 2005 Well, not exactly. The two autos were stock and show times of 14.7 and 14.8 and these are pretty common for the stock AUTO 02/03 Max. Not the case with the stock GTP The two manual times were from the same guy. The 14.57 @ 97.7 was when he was stock. With his pipes and a few other minor mods he got the 14.34 @ 100.25 If you need more "proof", feel free to go to Maxima.org and talk to the guys there. Dozens of them have posted times and about racing GTP's. Stock for stock the GTP isn't as fast. I mean, just look at the numbers GTP 240 hp @ 5200 280 tq @ 3200 4 speed auto about 3500 pounds 02/03 Max 255 hp @ 5800 246 tq @ 3400 6 speed manual 3316 pounds And if you need more "proof" you could always also look at the mag times. There was only one test of an 02/03 Max with 6 speed manual tranny. It got 0-60 on 6.0 flat 1/4 in 14.7 @ 97 0-100 in 15.7 seconds. The best time I have for a GTP is: 0-60 in 6.6 1/4 in 15.0 @ 93 0-100 in 17.7 (two seconds behind the Max) oh and did I mention this is for the 260 hp 2004 GTP not the 240 hp earlier versions.
