Gmachine
The rattle doesn't come from the flex joint or anything in the exhaust / flanges etc. The problem comes from clearance issues of the pipe hitting or rubbing parts under the car, like shielding, bearing supports, transmission crossmember............. Wrapping the flex joint will do nothing. The culprit is the down pipe sections. If Perrin had made these so that the outlet of the 2nd cat were lower by 3/4 to a full inch. korpsepatrol
I wasn't talking about dulling the rattle, i was talking about dulling the exhaust sound that leaks out of the flex section. 2008 6mt Legacy Gt Spec B DGM - Not so Stock/Work in progress 2006 5mt Legacy Gt OBP - Sold 2005 5eat Legacy Gt OBP - RIP R.I.P Coxx
Gmachine
Okay. But i have never heard a sound out of my flex joint, and i have had my car on a lift with someone inside blipping the throttle. While i am underneath trying to figure what was rubbing, buzzing, etc.
korpsepatrol
Well i had an x02 mid and y before the perrin and i can definitely here just a bit more exhaust noise from the flex under the car. So i figure with a wrap it will mellow that sound out a bit. Who would have thought the x02 would be good for something! 2008 6mt Legacy Gt Spec B DGM - Not so Stock/Work in progress 2006 5mt Legacy Gt OBP - Sold 2005 5eat Legacy Gt OBP - RIP R.I.P Coxx
