firepyro515
Hi guys, i just finished helping my friend connect up his alarm system and keyless entry system to an older '98 Legacy. The question is, is there any way to stop the chirps from sounding when locking and unlocking the car? They can get annoying since they are pretty loud. havanahjoe
You could remove the chirping module. I think it's right next to the horn. In Navi Legacies you can disable it through there. I don't know if there's another way to do it without the Navi.

rao
You can do it using a combination of keys on the fob. http://www.cars101.com used to have a copy of the instructions. Rob IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CAR YOU SHOULD NEVER DRIVE IT
firepyro515
i know you can do it with a '99 by using a combination of keys on the fob, but that's a different system. He might just have to live with the chirps/honks
