Not very familiar with manual transmission vehicles? Clutch stink occurs when the clutch slips too much. It often has a distinct odor that lets you know when it has slipped too much. The emergency(parking) brake is the handle directly to the right of the driver on the center console.

The ebrake is called different things in differnet countries e.g. Parking Brake or Hand Brake. Also, I can understand how someone new to the board whould wonder what clutch stink is.
