Th3Franz
Not very familiar with manual transmission vehicles? Clutch stink occurs when the clutch slips too much. It often has a distinct odor that lets you know when it has slipped too much. The emergency(parking) brake is the handle directly to the right of the driver on the center console. -Franz The end of a Legacy http://www.youtube.com/th3franz

Doogie2756
i had the clutch stink when backing up my driveway which has an incline to it.took the car to the dealer, they smelled it also and said the clutch was not slipping at all.after 3000 miles i can say that the smell has finally gone away.this is a new type clutch with some new material in it and it takes longer to break in. here is more info http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6052

GBY
I think (I hope) he was kidding...................right? The ebrake is called different things in differnet countries e.g. Parking Brake or Hand Brake. Also, I can understand how someone new to the board whould wonder what clutch stink is. godwhomismike
Just don't ask jedimaster what a clutch stink is On a serious note, it's what people around here call the smell their clutches make. I don't know much about it, I am in my awesome (but slightly slower) automatic. - Mike
