Subaru Survey - 5min of your time

Recommended Posts

Hello, I am conducting a Subaru survey.

If you have 5-10min of your free time, please take this survey. The end results will be sent to SOA. If you don't feel like leaving your full name, that's ok, please leave your first name or nickname.

I am closing the survey on 2/28. Thank you.

SURVEY IS NOW CLOSED.

Filled it out too. If it makes a difference - well, that's a different issue.

Some of my comments:

What do you like most about Subaru?

The AWD and that it's relatively anonymous.

Decent inner height, even though the '04 isn't as good as the '92 I had before. I have a long back, which makes some cars impossible.

I also like the way it handles on the road. No extreme understeer as you can find in some vehicles.

It's also not too bloated with unnecessary features.

And the dual-range gearbox on the 5MT is nice, but it could have had even lower gearing.

What do you like least about Subaru?

The latest design prospect looks vulgar.

Changing light bulbs are sometimes a pain in the ass.

The oil dipstick is useless since it picks up oil and doesn't give a decent reading so it's not giving out any useful information whatsoever.

The fuel consumption may be a bit high, and should be possible to improve. Reduced weight would help and give better performance at the same time.

Which Subaru models would you like to see being sold in the United States?

Legacy Wagon, and bring on the Diesel and smaller engines (1.5&2.0) too.

What kind of aftermarket tuner parts (specifically engineered and tested for Subarus) would you be interested in?

Methanol injection and supercharger kit.

Tuner parts for the Diesel and the H6 engine.

Automatic load-adjusting suspension.

Thoughts and comments to FHI/STI/SOA:

Watch out for stupid problems like the oil dipstick.

A pickup model based on the Legacy or possibly the Outback like the 'Brat', not something useless as the Baja. Having this with the Diesel engine would be really nice - and I suspect it will be really great in Europe.
