RIPjeep2002
Hey guys, I just signed up for the group buy with the CF grill from R-Rev Sports for my 09. It looks great and they quality looks amazing. Then I saw in another thread Rommel's grill for my 09. That also looks amazing. What do you guys think? Who has the better fitment and quality? RIPjeep2002
lol, I am not looking to criticize either of them, but being the anal retentive perfectionist I am, I am just looking for the best quality and fit. I really like the Carbon Fiber on my OBP, but I would not mind to paint one to exactly match. I am just looking for the best fit. I have read good things about both... Gire
My white RBS grille has treated me well for several years now. The quality is great. I had a small gap issue at the bottom but filled it up with a cardboard shim under the bumper skin. I do plan to buy a CF grille R-Rev as well, to keep my wagon looking fresh and different. fonts
I can comment that I just got the R-Rev CF grill. Beautiful piece and has the lip at the bottom of the grill to catch the top of the bumper skin. Can post pics of the grill but not planning on installing until the spring when the roads are a little more clean. I do not have an RBS grill and cannot comment first hand on quality .... but I've heard nothing but good things about Rommel's grill. Good luck. BigInALegacy
I think they'll both fit pretty spot-on. IIRC both vendors resolved the "gap" issue now. Maybe the only difference is the depth of the mesh. I think the RBS is a little closer to the front of the car possibly, but i cant say for sure though. If you want CF RBS doesn't make those though. Either way you can't go wrong though.

firepyro515
that happened to mine also, i think it took almost 2 months from the day i ordered to the day i got it and parts of the mesh still weren't all the way black

I'm sorry about the delay on your grill. I should have it shipped to you next week. that happened to mine also, i think it took almost 2 months from the day i ordered to the day i got it and parts of the mesh still weren't all the way black The mesh has to be trimmed to fit that's why the mesh ends are not painted. To the OP, whether you get your grill from me or R-Rev Sport you will be getting a good product.

Rommel
The mesh are powder coated. Thanks for letting me know about that. I'll check the rest of the mesh for any missed areas.

You'll need to buy JDM bumper, bumper beam, grill, etc. I would be surprised if you can get this setup for less than about $1,750 ....
gcoonley
It is not worth that. When I drop that much it will probably be under the hood. To bad, that grill looks really good
mattg
Out of the 547 PM's I have received since joining this site in 2005, I would say at least 100 of them have been comments on my RBS grill and inquiries about where to buy one. I've been running this grill for the last 4 years (on and off) and it still looks great. And yes, I was the first to rock the GT emblem in this fashion. http://photos.imageevent.com/mattg/legacygt/large/misc%20096.jpg
gcoonley
I have seen those around, just not very interested in them. I like the ones where the mesh follows the slope of the car and is close (But a little recessed ) from the front. Just like the one in the link. Please no insult intended. Just a personal preference. I was just hoping there was one for our cars.
