Which window tint percentage to go with?

I'm also in Ohio. I went 35% on the front windows and rear window, and 18% on the other 4 windows. Most cops don't even notice me (sleeper LGT's FTW!) but I allways open my sunroof shade before I roll by, the light from above makes the tint look much lighter (untinted sunroof).

I don't see any tint on your car (which is really nice looking btw)

Quick question, and a mighty dumb one... what tray liner is that in your "trunk?" I only ask because the dealer put the wrong one in my car (probably from a forester) and it doesn't fit properly so I'm going to get a new one and I really like the way yours has lips on the sides.

Is that just the stock wagon liner?

I live in Cali where tint on front is illegal, I bit the bullet and got 15% on the back and 28% on the front. I could get a ticket for the fronts, so I purchased the tint shops extended warranty which mean, when I get a ticket, they pull the tint and when it's written off I go back and they apply whatever tint I want again to the front. :)

Happy with my tint.

i have 20% all around and it looks killer. I would have gone darker in the rears but night vision suffers significantly after 20%. I had 20's on my last car and got use to it so i went 20 again. I never tint the windshield banner- too much cop attention then. I hear double layer 5's or 15 in the rear makes it look killer, with a lighter front choice.

I think 35% all the way around works well. Its what I use . Originally bought the Leggy with 50 % all around but changed it out. Like others , I prefer same tint all the way around mainly for aethetics. Cops too busy In Fla to give tickets over tints.

You can get away with darker tint by getting a tint that has a higher reflective property.

Not a legacy, but my car has Llumar's "Platinum Plus" tint 35% all around and it looks way darker than it actually is.

Only regret is it is fairly difficult to see out of at night.

I have 20% on my car, which in MOST instances throughout the day looks almost completely BLACK. However, for some reason, during this shoot, it came out a lot lighter (likely because the sun was GLARING out.) My friend's car also has 20% tint.

Mine's aftermarket tinted, but that's how I bought it. Probably 35%. But I agree that it looks odd when its mismatched.

i think that 9 times out of 10 (unless you're rolling 5% limo tint) a cop won't pull you over specifically for a a tint violation, but if you get lippy, they might add illegal tint to the ticket. I don't think its much different than when a cop goes and checks your bumper clearance levels and all that stuff if you're obviously riced out and set up to "race."

It's cool; I'm with the band
