Since the stock ECU learns and adapts to your driving style, if I drive this thing too easy 6 days a week and want to drive like a dick on sundays, will my tune be effected? Or does the tune override the factory learning function? BTW loving my stage 1 5eat + up pipe + catback. It's not a racecar or anything but it's super noticeable from any rpm. I feel like my usable power is exactly where I want it all the time. I spool quicker, pull harder, and seem to have a way more even powerband. Anyone thinking they'll just go stage 1 and be happy is lying to themselves, I'll be going stage 2 within 6 months. If the resulting difference is as much as stock to stage 1 then I absolutely must experience this. Just need my hexmod first... I can't believe how much more noticeable of a difference I gained for so much less money than with a N/A car. Or does the tune override the factory learning function? Don't read into that to much...the interweb confuses nearly everything. Drive the car in whatever matter you'd like. The ecu learns things as far as fueling and knock corrections, that is all. I can't believe how much more noticeable of a difference I gained for so much less money than with a N/A car. Putting over a grand into my prelude for I/H/E didn't give me anything close to the gains I can feel with my tune. That is because the Prelude was untuned I presume.... Funny how nobody on the prelude forums even talked about tuning unless you had a fully built motor or had a turbo and an OBD1 conversion. I never even considered it back when I had that car.
