o2 Sensor Locations

I know what most the parts are, and G is the primary o2 sensor, or as Performance Subaru of New Orleans likes to call it the Fuel/Air Ratio Sensor, and NOT an o2, as well as saying the Sensor Post Turbo is the primary

 

What is the sensor on the Up Pipe, and then the Second Sensor, post turbo is the Secondary o2 correct.

 

A, C, D, K, L, Q, T : Gaskets

B : Cross Pipe

E : Cyl 3+4 Manifold

F : Cyl 1+2 Manifold

G : Primary o2 Sensor

H : Cat. Up Pipe

J : ??????

M : Cat. Down Pipe

N : ?Secondary o2 Sensor?

P : Cat. Mid Pipe

R : Mid Pipe

S : Exhaust Chamber

W : Gee what could that be (DUH)

(BTW: dont mind the fact no Y-Pipe or Second Chamber)

The sensor in the uppipe is the EGT sensor.

 

The one labeled "N" is the post-cat O2 sensor.

can you see the Primary o2 from looking just at the engine bay, or do you need to be below the car/in front of the engine....there is no way to see it without actually getting in there correct?

The main O2 sensor plugs into the exhaust manifold near the base of the up-pipe. I'm pretty sure you need to remove the undertray to get to it.

In Subaru's official parts list for the Legacy:

 

G = Sensor, Front Oxygen, PN: 22641AA32A

J = Sensor, Center Oxygen, PN: 22629AA012

N = Sensor, Rear Oxygen, PN: 226290AA69A (MT) 226290AA70A (AT)

 

As was mentioned, J is typically known as the EGT Sensor while the other two are typically referred to as O2 Sensors (front and rear)

With the engine undercover on, the only sensors you can see is the UP one and the rear cat one. The front sensor can only be seen (unless you look through the oil filter access hole), with the front undercover off.
