CapnJack
Maybe it's the position I have my seat, but when driving in 5th gear, the shift knob blocks the rear defroster button light so I can't see if it's on or not with out moving. What can I say I'm lazy. My question is, is the Momo shift knob offered by Subaru shorter than the factory shift knob?
Regal05LGT
You could always lean forward a bit?
Denver133
Seriously? WOW. Yeah, the momo is smaller. You could also install a short shifter.

Bbc84
IIRC you can go to the dealer and get them to adjust the setting so its always on until you toggle off. instead of it timing out in xx mins.
zmarko
Isn't that the mirror defroster? Not the rear window defroster?

Yamarocket630
No, the MOMO knob still blocks the light. And the button under the power mirror switch is for the wiper deicer. Mirror deicing is controlled by the rear defogger button.

Mirror deicing is controlled by the rear defogger button. I was told the Wiper deicer and the Side mirrors are the same circuit. Just pulled up the PDF of the owners manual, you are correct. and it may be your height or your sitting position, or combo of. I can see the light perfectly fine with car in 5th. But... i also have the STS... so that may help also.
