timevacuum
Question: Do any of the tuning methods (AP, Pro-tune, Open source, etc.), address the transmission of a 5EAT-S equipped vehicle. Are the shift points, and/or shift quickness, line pressure, etc. changable when tuning the engine? I've read the threads about the IPT VB mod but it seems to me that the ECU would still be in control most of the time. I've got an '09 OBXT with 12,000 miles already , and just thinking about future mods... Thanks, Bill
snow05gtRI
I'm not sure about this one, but I think the transmission has its own control unit other than the ECU (I think it might be called TCU ...?) and so far no one has been able to crack it.
