BrownBoy
this would make finding some aftermarket brake pads MUCH easier.
LegacyMUN2k6
When I had my 2.5i. I upgraded to the front wrx 4-pots along with LGT drilled/slotted rotors and some hawk pads. Trust me it had a nice feel and bite I was also going todo the H6 upgrade(ordered the adapter brackets,) in the rear ,but traded too a lgt before I had a chance too. N.sane
well, it looks like WRX 4-pots are the choice for the fronts, I wanna find out if theres any direct replacement calipers/rotors for the rears?
Pawlwawl06
What is this '4-pot'? I'm a noob.

WhatV8
What is this '4-pot'? I'm a noob. 4-pot = 4 piston caliper They give a better 'feel' to the brake pedal, even out the pad wear on the individual pads and give you a larger choice of aftermarket brake pads to better match to your driving style/needs. LegacyMUN2k6
They are a direct fit and you can use lgt rotors with them.
N.sane
Anybody know if it's a direct fit for the rears as well?
Pawlwawl06
Would LGT calipers be considered an upgrade for the 2.5i? I need to jump on this because my rotors and warped and my pads are shot. I was just thinking about upgrading to a LGT brake setup, would everything line up correctly?
06Limited
LGT calipers are a bigger upgrade than the wrx 4-pots and by the looks of it they go for about the same price. They should also line up.
Pawlwawl06
Going for a set of 4-pot calipers for the fronts, LGT calipers/brackets for the rear, and DBA slotted rotors all around. The 4-pot calipers do not require mounting brackets I assume?
Pawlwawl06
They are a direct fit and you can use lgt rotors with them. Did you need brackets when you put in the 4-pot WRX brakes? Seems like from your explanation earlier that you only needed brackets in the rear and the 4-pots were a direct fit.

The 4-pot calipers do not require mounting brackets I assume? Let me know how it goes Paul! This will be definitely on my to-do list. I drove my friend's 07 Spec.B today, the brakes are definitely a big improvement over our tiny brakes. Good luck with the swap!
Pawlwawl06
I was looking around in the Brakes forum, happened to run across this(problem solved!): http://www.ozliberty.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5886 Already have a walkthrough for it. Pawlwawl06
these guys K got another question, are the left and right calipers identical? I got one out of two calipers in a shipping mishap, and I need to figure out which side I need. Is there any way to tell the left and right caliper apart?
