Bolksey85 Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 Stock to mildly modded, I'd say boost, oil pressure, and water temp. More mods, maybe swap/add in a fuel pressure and/or EGT or oil temp, your choice.
05gtlimited300 Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 im at stg 2 power levels right now and i have boost and oil pressure. unless you plan on upgrading your turbo and go for much more power, then an AFR is good to have.
johnAWD Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 1) vac/boost 2) wideband O2 3) oil pressure 4) fuel presure 5) EGT
Beanboy Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 vac/boost and oil pressure here. -B http://www.standardshift.com
FASTONE Posted October 25, 2008 Author Posted October 25, 2008 ok so i will get boost, oil pressure and need the 3rd one, choices are 1) wideband O2 2) fuel presure is this really needed 3 EGT what exactly does this do or anything else, i need 3 guages
Bolksey85 Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 EGT is exhaust gas temp. Let's you monitor how hot the exhaust and in turn, the turbo is getting. My $.02 says fuel pressure isn't neeeded until bigger injectors and a fuel pump upgrade are done. My vote for 3rd goes water temp as the dummy gauges are alright but I'd like to know an actual number. Or at least have a much better idea of a number as compared to "between the 5th and 6th line".
TSiWRX Posted October 26, 2008 Posted October 26, 2008 Whatever you get, make sure that you either keep it well-in-view (and actually look at it enough) so that you can monitor what's about to go wrong, or, alternatively, make sure it has warning capabilities. <-- I love Winky, my "periwinkle" (ABP) LGT! - Allen / Usual Suspect "DumboRAT" / One of the Three Stooges '16 Outback, '16 WRX, 7th Subaru Family
