ERIC THOMPSON
here's whats happening... when i'm turning the steering wheel at speeds above 25 mph mostly on highway on or off ramps(usually 40-45mph) the steering wheel fights back and pulls in the opposite direction... now i checked my LCA bushings and they are torn slightly but could there be so much deflection under load that the steering wants to pull itself straight?....... does anyone have any ideas? it makes the car pretty hairy turning under load. someone please help! ilh
My LCA bushings are torn and I don't have that problem at all. There is self-centering, but it never interferes with driving. I would check your tire pressures and wear, and then have your alignment checked.

ERIC THOMPSON
stock everything, alignment is straight according to my hunter machine....... i thought bumpsteer occured when the supension was completely compressed?
MOMSWGN
Look at your belts, may be slipping on the power steering.
ERIC THOMPSON
belts are good and have good tension, problem seems more apparent when making left turns. i assume because the r/f suspension is so loaded up....
ERIC THOMPSON
it also seems more apparent when making left turns where the r/f is loaded up..... like the geometry is all off..... and the wheel wants to correct itself back to the straight position making it feel like snap oversteer.
