CapnJack
RE: http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=95463 Say for what ever reason this completely fixes the stutter problem... Would someone that has stutter even with an AP stage 1 installed benefit from unmarrying the AP and getting this factory update and then re-installing the AP flash or does the AP totally wipe out all information from the factory flash and start from scratch? Reason I ask is that I have a service appointment this weekend. /ignorance
Infamous1
Not at all, because once you reflash it with the AP again the ECU will be remapped with the Cobb settings.
mwiener2
they did this with 2005-06 models as well. Released a reflash to fix the stutter... stutter returns several hundred miles later anyways Myself, and a few tuners are starting to think it is physical driveline issues and no amount of tuning can fix that My Mods List (Updated 8/22/17) 2005 Outback FMT Running on Electrons

Hate to hijack a thread, but could you tell us more about your thinking on this? If there's another direction I might look to cure my stutter, I'd love to try. mwiener2
we're pretty sure it's just driveline slack that builds up a resonance that feels like stutter. biggest giveaway is the ability to get stutter under engien braking as well as acceleration. we have no feasible ideas to remedy it though My Mods List (Updated 8/22/17) 2005 Outback FMT Running on Electrons

Soda Popinski
Is this stutter the acceleration hiccup you feel in 1st gear when you floor it? (around 4000 rpm)
Darkness of Death
i believe it was most noticable in 2nd punching WOT and hitting 3000rpms.. 3rd gear as well. i dont remember. it's here somewhere. do a search ~
CapnJack
Mine is most noticeable in 2nd. Third is not bad, but still there. Temperature seems to make a big difference as well. If the outside air temp is above about 80 degrees, it's really bad.
