westy66
any reason the Prodrive rear diff protector wont fit the LGT?
westy66
bump..... anyone? i assume the diff is the same in the WRX, right??
DiscoWagon
If you have an R160 which you do, it should fit.
Leonardo
I tried on my 5EAT GT and it didn't. The bracket that attaches to the diff to screw in the bracket needs to be different. At least for the finned cover on the 5EAT. If someone made a special bracket, I'd be all over it. Even if it was a modification to the provided one. AKLGT
I don't know if it'll fit on the LGT, but I have a Primitive Racing Rear Diff cover on the 08 STI. you should contact Paul and see if he makes one that fits on the LGT. pretty inexpensive too. Leonardo
He should. We just need someone to also make one for us 5EAT bastards!

jim1969
when do you need the diff cover or the perrin cooler? If you off road or race?
05Limited
I don't know if you ever NEED it - but it can't hurt under severe/heavy use.
Long Island Legacy
I know the perrin one holds extra diff fluid and has heat sinks to keep temps down. Plus it looks really sweet. the prodrive one ehh.
Leonardo
Ok, there seems to be a confusion here. The Perrin is just a diff cover (replaces the OEM one with more fluid capacity and cooling fins (which the 5EAT have ) The Prodrive and Primitive are skit plates (diff guards) to protect the diff if you are of roading and/or lowered and fear running over something that might hurt the diff. Leonardo
Again, if you have access to a fab shop like, umm, Kartboy, you can have the Prodrive rear diff cover bracket modified or made and sold as the "Legacy GT 5EAT fitment kit).
