  1. i want to bump this up... i have a 1968, 16 or 17ft fiberglass runabout with a outboard on back. triler is 500# and im guessing the boat is 2000#. i have towed this with my Legacy GT MT a bunch of times. back and fourth to the boat launches and mechanic... never more than 5 or 8 miles. the last time i took it out this summer, it felt a little more 'bouncy' than usual on the way to the launch. when i parked, i noticed the hitch was almost dragging on the ground it has a 1 1/4" receiver, so i guess a class 2 or 3. i thought the hitch was bent. i took it off yesterday and realized that the back captive nuts on each side were ripping through the frame  i couldnt have overloaded the hitch. i have no tow vehicle now
  2. LOL I had it bad in my 02 wrx and now on my 05 lgt. Rediculous.
  3. I saw a guy driving a dark blue LGT wagon in Avon on Walker Road last week and I keep seeing the old(er) guy driving the black LGT wagon with the pinstripe around here.
  4. i started having an issue yesterday, not boosting past 6 psi. i started a thread, but i was wondering if any of my Cleveland crew has had this happen? heres the thread. http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/not-boosting-over-6-psi-ii-143369.html?t=143369
  5. i saw an old man in an OBP wagon like mine in Berea on Bagley Road! couldnt believe it. im going to try and get to Quaker tomorrow.
  6. anyone know of any local Accessport tuning going on this spring/summer?
  7. saw a BRP LGT wagon TWICE today, both times on Sterns Road.
  8. yes, the product is great, but im soooo PO'd i have to take the dash and radio apart again. that mini audio plug is JUNK!! for those that havnt installed this yet, DON'T use it, get another one!! im going to find one of these... or maybe a right-angle one [ame=http://www.amazon.com/Monster-Mobile-Musicconnect-Mini-Plug/dp/B000CC1QAE]Amazon.com: Monster Mobile MP3 Musicconnect 2M (1/8IN Mini Plug To 1/8IN Mini): Electronics[/ame]
  9. hey guys.... i decided to create a Northeast Ohio Facebook group so we can keep in touch another way. (not that this wasnt good enough ) im new to Facebook and like it much better than my old MySpace account i had. you all have been great help here! we can possibly organize some things for this Spring! we can talk shop, discuss new mods, walk-thrus, maybe even favorite drives around Cleveland. maybe even put faces to our cars and names so well recognize each other. come and join!! its called Northeast Ohio Subaru Legacy GTs i think this link is right: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=55185370582
  10. anyone have any problems with the included audio cable. i have only had mine for 4 or 5 months and i have to bend and hold the plug end to get sound to come out:spin: looks like i have to take apart the radio again and get another cable
  11. i emailed Buscher last Summer and they told be they like to try and get Tim to come once or twice a year. im running a TDC Stage 1 91 map, but i have a UP and DP for Stg2. i hope they have a tune day this Summer, im only about 45 minutes away and i would trust tim from what ive read here!
  12. yea, at the time tho i guess they hadnt broken the code for the P0420 ;-)
  13. i ordered the Pro kit for my 05 and i didnt get the ipod charger even tho it was advertised to be included i had the day off and couldnt wait to complain and wait for another month for the thing to ship out..... .. having said that, its a nice put together kit and works well.
  14. agreed... Ohio's emission testing is a joke. a lot has to do with the tech's ability (or lack therof) to do their job. i used to drive an 02 WRX with a VF-30, a highly polished catless TBE and a UTEC to run it all. i would pull in to the testing facilities garage and the boxer rumble would be resonating off the walls and would be almost deafaning! one time a tech looked over to the guy working the computer and said, "Listen to this thing!!!" also the smell of my catless exhaust would have all of our eyes watering inside in my 7 years of ownership, nobody EVER took the inspection mirror off the hook and with the OBD testing, i never failed. i used a MIL Eliminator on the rear cat in my WRX http://www.oakos.com/Merchant2/graphics/00000001/PEPMILELIM02.jpg
  15. no, im pretty sure its the fuel lines under the intake
  16. ok, im really pissed off this morning:spin: i went out to start (warm up) my car today and when i went back out smelled gas around the car. i previously had this with my 2002 WRX which needed a repair to the fuel line beneath the TMIC. and even tho there are numerous threads on NASIOC, one with 2100+ replies Subaru hasnt recalled anything, just a damn TSB??? AND NOW MY LEGACY HAS IT  anyone else have this issue in cold weather? below freezing. warmed up or not.
  17. SIGHTING i saw a black LGT wagon while i was at the Elyria Midwall Mall Firestone getting my snow tires mounted on Oct 30th. tinted windows, exhaust and a red BBK with sloted rotors!! you had a load of junk in the back too(WAGONS RULE!!) you a member? i wanted to run outside and get your attention to see what BBK you had that fits under stock wheels. looked like Brembo, but how??
  18. UPDATE: the Perrin was rubbing sporadically on my clutch cylinder clearance to the cap is about 1/8" - 3/16" - but i can still get the cap off. i remounted the TMIC ABOVE the green support bracket on the Left side. no more rubbing. the clearance didnt change, but since mounting the IC over the bracket the twisting motion of the engine under load doesnt push it into the cylinder NICE!! i can get my hand into the scoop and can feel about an inch gap between the TMIC and the boot on the underside of the hood. i cant see how this could possibly effect cooling at any speeds over 20 mph as the boot is so focused on the intercooler. the only downside i can think of is now rain, snow, salt, crap can more easilly blow over the back of the IC.
  19. parking garage photo shoot anyone? ? ? my wife is due with our first in 6 days. but i noticed Southwest hospital has a nice garage without gates or anything. and the hospital is never busy. right on Bagley Road of 71.
  20. i just finished my install a couple hours ago. after reading all the horrors prior to the install i wanted to post my impressions and method. -Remove 4 pop-screws from engine cover http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v486/westy66/TMIC%20install/IM001666-1400.jpg -Throw cover aside http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v486/westy66/TMIC%20install/IM001667-1400.jpg -Remove two bolts on turbo side http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v486/westy66/TMIC%20install/IM001668-1400.jpg -LOOSEN two front bolts on green TMIC support bracket on manifold -Remove one back support bracket bolt from TMIC -Nudge support bracket out of the way and remove two recirc valve bolts -Loosen large clamp on throttle body http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v486/westy66/TMIC%20install/IM001670-1400.jpg -nudge the recirc valve and green bracket out of the way and wiggle the stock TMIC out http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v486/westy66/TMIC%20install/IM001675-1400.jpg -WOW either the stock TMIC is small or the Perrin is BIG http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v486/westy66/TMIC%20install/IM001671-1400.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v486/westy66/TMIC%20install/IM001674-1400.jpg -heres where you might want to put zip ties on the "Blue T" hoses to prevent possible blow off. -coat your finger with a little assembly lube, oil, whatever and lube up the inside surface of the throttle body hose (large black one) -install the provided o-ring into your new TMIC on the turbo side. shove the Perrin all the way into the throttle body hose and SLIGHTLY snug up the hose clamp. -reinstall the recirc valve with its two bolts. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v486/westy66/TMIC%20install/IM001676-1400.jpg -so now the only two things connected to the new TMIC are flexible (this is important) -wiggle the TMIC until you can get the turbo side bolts lined up and start them. BE CAREFUL, your threading into alluminum!! tighten about half way. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v486/westy66/TMIC%20install/IM001677-1400.jpg -hand tighten the back bolt on the green bracket to TMIC. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v486/westy66/TMIC%20install/IM001678-1400.jpg -start on the turbo side and tighten those two bolts about 2/3rds. tighten the green bracket bolts a little. alternate side to side now. you might have to push the TMIC over from the passenger side to get it to sit on the turbo. this is the side you want to mate first. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v486/westy66/TMIC%20install/IM001679-1400.jpg Youre done! only took you 30-45 minutes!
  21. i cant wait! but i wont be mounting them until next Spring. my RE-92s at SHOT and im putting snows on the stockers. (17" snows are expensive ) i do a lot of driving so i need a hard summer tire, but still want them sporty. i guess ill end up with an all season on them. i got caught one year in a snowstorm in the third week of April on Michelin Pilot Sports . http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v486/westy66/PFF718s.jpg
  22. hey krompir... i live in Berea and we basically have the same car what Rotas do you have? i have a set of PFF7's coming from Colorado as i type this. are we going to be twins? well have to get together. Bob
