psi365 Posted August 18, 2008 Share Posted August 18, 2008 i wonder if IS350 and IS-F owners have discussions this heated... u do get pretty decent upgrades with the IS-F though e.g. BBKs and the 2-stage intake system. but for an extra 20k... hm... Probably not. With the IS-F there is a notable performance difference. A lot of the car is different then a IS350 such as the engine, trans, interior, suspension, body (well at least it has a body kit), etc. What most people here see is that there is mainly a suspension and trans difference. The body isn't any different, slight change in the interior, and no performance difference (engine wise). So to most people the value isn't there. Again if SOA put a LSTi in place of the spec B (I am fully aware that isn't going to happen) for the price people would still b**** that it isn't enough and should have a flat 6 twin turbo or something completely unreasonable like that. The lgt and spec b make the same power, lexus is350 is a 3.5liter v6 with 300hp, the is-f is a 5.0liter v8 with 415hp. 115hp, plus suspension, plus big brakes= worth the extra money for sure.
