Lightning GT EV

Recommended Posts

Is it just me or are the English the only ones know how to design a good looking cars nowadays? First the Lotus Evora now this.

4 Electric motors in the wheels for 700 hp total. 0-60 in 4 sec, which actually seem kinda slow for a 700 hp EV.

This thing probably has a 10 miles range... But it sure is purrrrrrrty.

that is what the STi is going to look like next year

I think that's what the STi looks like this year.

Amazing looking car(the Lightening).Slowly but surely in electric will be the only powertrain.Thank God.No more Lambda 1 ,IDC and Volumetric efficiency.People will truly have the "appliance auto".Cars built by Maytag,LG, and Sony.

I got the TVR vibe from it too.

Gotta love the British sports car cottage industry. some of the most unique and appealing products...

But so many of them get stillborn, or don't survive long. There was a rendering of a proposed sports car revival of the Cooper Climax F1, called the Concept Climax, which was supposed to have an alcohol burning subaru-based turbo boxer engine in a light weight open cockpit car. I didn't think it ever got off the digital drawing board, but evidently there is a prototype, at least. Rumored to be building just ten of them, and then moving on to other future projects.

I would LOVE to see what a the upcoming 380S STI hand-built Prodrive engine would be like in THIS little gem of a sports car, with a porsche transaxle, and limited slip for RWD only, and probably only about 2000lbs, if not less.

It would probaly pull the skid marks outta my skivies.

Really? I think it smacks of Jags...not that they are bad on the eyes.

TVRs, classic jags, Astons, cottage sports cars...

All inherently sleek and british, just slightly different. But more similar than say a german car. (mini is a british design built by germans... :D )

Even Porsche, as organically shaped as they are, are a bit more round than some of these long and low british designs.
