The updates/refresh benefit the wagon alot! I love the new wagon...check out the feedback on Autoblog its hilarious how many people are saying the same....

I really hope they bring over the 335i wagon if they do I will have one in my driveway by this time next year...according to Autoblog we won't see any diesel's or 4 bangers...no mention of the 335i but history isn't on my side.

I guess it isn't just Subaru who think that American consumers are dumb fools who don't want fuel efficient wagons instead of SUVs..

That's because Americans ARE dumb fools that don't want wagons. I have a feeling that will slowly change though. Problem is diesel is still too expensive. I had hopes that diesels would become popular but the price premium just doesn't make it worth it and the price of diesel isn't likely to go down.

Not only is the 3 series wagon a slow seller in North America, but so is the 5 series wagon. The only reason the 5'er got the turbo motor is because the 255hp NA unit is not offered anymore in the 5 series. Both cars are strong sellers in Europe and production capacity can only supply so many of them. Why would BMW bring over the hot rod diesel wagon to the US to sell for considerably less profit than Europe (given the weak dollar)?

The clean diesel revolution for America is dead before it even started. I wouldn't be shocked if Honda and Toyota cancel their plans to bring over their diesels, leaving the market to niche players like MB/BMW and horribly managed VW who couldn't market their way out of a wet paper bag.

Actually, I had the opposite reaction.

Everything is getting softer and bloated. Lines and curves gratuitously, rather than purposefully.

The glasshouse is nowhere near a sleek looking as the 05-06 Legacy Wagon.

And stupid non-congruous tail lights...

Under the skin might be good, but the skin is kinda frumpy, compared to slick BMWs of the past.
