Curious.....but I was only able to get an older version of ecuexplorer to work with my APV2 cable using the APV2DONGLE.EXE drivers.

Are you guys using any other programs with the apv2 usb cable?

only for datalogging purposes

I guess my next question is....is ecuexplorer sufficient? If yes, what parameters should I be logging so I can post here to get feedback?

I'm no expert but....

RPM

Engine Load

Manifold pressure (PSI)

Advance (Timing)

Knock (digital)

AFR

Intake air temp

MAF flow?

Anything else???

I don't use ECUExplorer for logging so I had to go connect to the car to see what parameters are there.

With ECUExplorer log the following:

Engine speed(RPM)

Throttle Opening Angle(%)

Mass Air Flow(g/s)

Ignition Timing

Knock Correction

Manifold Relative Pressure(PSI)

Primary Wastegate Duty Cyle(%)

This will allow us to see how your tune is working on your car.

ended up buying the vag com cable also...will log with ecu ecu explorer once the jbweld cures and stock tmic goes back into the carl

If you brought the vag-com cable don't even bother with ECUexplorer log with RomRaider. Far superior logging software.
