Landcruisin60
I can get a 2002 Legacy L wagon thats in really good shape for free. The downfall is that its auto and N/A. I want to make it into a sleeper/rally car that I can use at local rallys and hill climbs. So I was thinking JDM swap and manual swap. I'm pretty new to the world of Subaru but I'm not new to the world of cars. I replaced the frame on my Toyota Landcruiser and have pulled the engine on my Saab 900 SPG to replace the tranny. So I was planning to do the work myself. Is this something reasonable to do? I know its probably better to sell it and get WRX. But I havent found any reasonably priced WRX's. So has anyone done this to a Legacy? Looking for peoples thoughts and ideas. Thanks
rao
It is not a haard swap. go to http://www.nasioc.com "Subaru Conversions" section Rob IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CAR YOU SHOULD NEVER DRIVE IT
OGG
Although it would be cool, it ultimately will probably cost as much or more than buying a used WRX. This is not a project to take on with a tight budget, IMO.
Landcruisin60
Thats what I was afraid of. Its surprising, I thought Subaru was the state car in VT yet there arent very many WRX's for sale and the ones that are seem to be pretty darn expensive.
