Livingtodie
I was planning on lowering my car and inch or so, do any of you know if i will need to get new camber bolts to get the car aligned right?
Underdog
I lowered my car on Swift springs and my camber is as follows: LF -1.1 (front spec -1.8 -> +1.3) RF -1.3 LR -1.1 (rear spec -1.4 -> +0.1) RR -1.6 So the only tire out of spec currently is the right rear. Unfortunately, rear camber is not adjustable without adjustable rear "forward" links, which can be purchased from member 4BoxParts. (I wouldn't recommend the unshielded bearing Perrin units since you live in Maine). The camber bolts up front should be adequate to keep the camber in spec. rockon99
What about a 1990 legacy wagon? i would like to lower it at some point, like 1 or 2 inches. Since it is so old, no companies make parts specifically for it. Reccomendations?
Underdog
Cut your springs! Just realized this was in the "older legacy" forum... sorry, but my posts won't be helpful to you. The Crimson Dynamo
Elliottlj
lol yes we all want to lower our cars if you can find them specificly for your car find them for a year that will still fit your car.. or you can always cut your springs and save money lol
Livingtodie
Yeah, cutting springs is just a lot of wrong, i know wrx springs will work i just dont know if the spring rates are going to be different. not sure what the weight differance is between the two cars
Underdog
^ Done properly it's really not that big of a deal. Of course, running the same spring rate with a shorter stroke is not great for New England roads. However, I have a feeling it's gonna be tough for you to find lower, stiffer springs and proper shocks to go with them. The Crimson Dynamo
Elliottlj
lol just look up the curb weight for your car and the wrx lol
OGG
IIRC the Turbo version of your generation of Legacy sits a bit lower. You could get a set of those springs. You're probably also going to want to add a rear sway bar while you're at it..
