atc5
I might have my VB for sale if I can work out an arrangement to purchase Hutru's IPT trans from his wagon.
fishbone
I'm hesitant to buy someone else's modded VB. Not sure to what extent IPT would cover any troubles and what Ty has told me, which was he recommended each 5EAT stick to it's own modded VB kinda stuck with me. Habitual Line Stepper
Still going strong, i'm going vf52 sometime in the summer. I'm sure the VB will suffice, altho it all depends on how i intend to drive it. "I for one do not doubt you, dude. atc5
No issues for me with a used IPT VB. Yep, and that ran in three different LGT's including yours.
rubberman
Yep, and that ran in three different LGT's including yours. That should provide proof of concept then. Does this mean that my VB has pretty much been whored out?
fishbone
Well then ... atc5, if you put yours up for sale, let me know.
Habitual Line Stepper
I was given the same explanation about swapping VBs when i called IPT. And altho there might be some truth in that, the bottomline is that IPT has nothing to gain if we swap VBs. "I for one do not doubt you, dude. fishbone
The other part to that that's got me left wondering/worried is what kind of support they would extend to a swapped VB.

Soda Popinski
I'm going to be doing the complete transmission from IPT this spring. I hope to be shifting like a sequential or close to that kind of high end gearbox. Plus it opens the door for me to up the ante for hp/torque. atc5
The other part to that that's got me left wondering/worried is what kind of support they would extend to a swapped VB. That's why I shipped the VB that I sold to Rubberman to IPT before even listing it for sale on the boards here. I told IPT the whole story before I shipped it to them. They checked it, clean bill of health, good to go.

ClimberDHexMods
atc5, two things to add to your very accurate install post, which I just reviewed. First step, disconnect the battery, pump the brake pedal. There is no need for most people to actually remove the shifting rod from the VB. There could be some confusion. I know you already know this stuff, just think it would be good to add to the install post. m sprank
My IPT VB is for sale now. Send me your stocker and I will send you my IPT. We can ship at the same time. Or I can ship ahead. I just dont want to trade it in with the IPT VB installed and lose the opportunity to share it with another member.
