05LegacyGT330Ci
Very cool engine transplant done into this old E30, first of all it has the Type 72 M-V spokes (also on my car yay) so that makes the car awesome already, but it also has the S52 engine from the E39 M5, which for the unkowning produced 400hp and 369lb ft (I think that was the number). Anyways I'll let the pictures do the talking. http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=224530 Song of Post- Steel Pulse- Rally Round the Flag '05 Black Legacy GT Wagon 5-spd '02 Topaz/Black 330Ci 5-spd Drift Ryder's School of Rally Arts, coming to an Australia near you. racerdave
That is cool. In some ways, it's sort of a sacrilege to do that to an E30 M3 (IMHO)... I love E30 M3's as is. But it must go like mad. I'm amazed at how well it fit into the chassis. It's tight for sure, but it doesn't look like they had to do lots of sawing and welding to get it in. evolutionmovement
I'd feel better if it were done to a regular E30 BMW, but I bet it's a blast in a straight line. Interesting project. Steve
05LegacyGT330Ci
I agee its sad to see another orginal M3 that started it all sorta of ruined in some respects, but to see another Motorsport engine in there makes it a little different. Guest JessterCPA
Small block Chevy transplants into old 6 series cars was a common swap to do. I also like taking that E30 M3 motor and putting it in 1970-1973 2002's.
