onesillyracer Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 I currently have my eye on the invidia catted, but I believe ive read there are some fitment issues in regards to bolting up to the stock pipes. Anyone have experience or can lead me to the right direction?
NutBucket Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 Yeah, as far as I know Cobb is the only DP that has a proper donut flange. However, that doesn't mean you can't mate the stock exhaust to any of the other DPs that have 3" flanges. Its not ideal but it works fine.
John M Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 Shhhh, don't tell my car the Invidia pipe doesn't fit. It's been installed for almost 2 years and doesn't know it isn't supposed to work.
rubberman Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 The Invidia DP 3" flange mates to the stock exhaust without any install problems or leaks. Not having to mod the DP flange later when I add a 3" mid & y-pipe is an added bonus for me.
Chubien Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 I had a Cobb fitted and as expected it fit perfectly. It may cost a bit more but it has 100% positive fitment feedback.
sschmelcke Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 i just bought the invidia and had an exhaust leak bolting to the stock pipe. doubled up the gasket and it seems to be good for now. still might be very slightly leaking so i might need a slightly larger gasket. fitment itself was great but it was really meant to be used with a full 3 inch catback. i wouldn't worry cause you can get it to work.
TPLGT Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 I have a MR...catless...but it fit great and is a good deal! Rehab is for quitters.
AKLGT Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 I'm ordering the Invidia for mine and Hubby's from AJ Performance's group buy. Wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle yeah!!!
